Adobe Reader 11 crashes automatically

Whenever I start adobe reader 11 it automatically crashes after new seconds. My OS is Win 7 Ultimate SP1. I am using AVIRA free antivirus.I uninstalled application and downloaded the file and re-installed without any success. This happens with any pdf file.

as you can see, Iam Webster found that certificates were the problem but there are many other possible causes.

Do you have any other Adobe applications installed on your system? Perhaps an old version of Acrobat? Try removing it.

As you can see here:

with Reader IX they had the same problem returning a

"Faulting module name: unknown"

Now, this message seems to indicate that MS Windows has a problem not necessarily bound to the application starting up (Reader XI in this case). It might due to

  1. another program interfering (even a virus);
  2. the operating system itself;

What you can do: first, follow this:

In the end, if nothing else works, you'll have to create a system log somehow as explained in some of the links provided above. This log should be studied by either an Adobe (see "staff" ID people in the Adobe forum) or MS Windows engineer (MS Windows forum/community also addressed in above links).

Thanks for your answer. The problem was solved after I downgraded to Reader 10.
