print labels

I have a PDF document of labels I am trying to print onto AVery 8160 labels. Page sizing says Shrink oversized pages (I have also tried to change it to "fit" and "actual size" and none seem to work. The labels print too far to the top and left and aren't printing to to labels correctly. I have an HP Photosmart Plus B-209 printer and PC from a Microsoft Windows 7 Home premium. How can I get these labels to print correctly?

Hi

Is the PDF the same page size to the label sheet.

does your PDF document have any bleed or crop marks on the document. And have you chosen the correct paper size?

How were the labels produced?

Have you tried to adjust the margins in the program creating the labels?

From the Avery Design Label Pro, I crate a print alignment PDF and then adjust the printer alignment in Avery Design Label Pro before printing the labels. If you are using MS Office, adjust the page margins in MS Office to get the labels to shift as needed. Also do not print too close the label edges since there is some play in the paper passing through the printer. You will also find that PDF labels will be very printer specific.
