how do i save a pdf file so when it's opened it is simply the document without the tool bar, etc?

I want to save a PDF file (resume) so when it is opened by the viewer all they see is the document. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

You can set the default view to "full screen" if you don't want anything but the document to be displayed (this will also hide any other applications or UI elements that your operating system is displaying), or you can use the "User Interface Options" to hide certain items. Both options are available on the "Initial View" tab on the "Document Properties" dialog (Ctrl-D or Cmd-D):
