how do I save a few quotes in a new document

I have Acrobat Pro x and want to highlight part of a text and save it or print just it. How do I do this?

Assuming that you already have text (as opposed to images, coming from a scanner), you highlight text with the Highlight tool, which is part of the Commenting tools.

Saving the document… Save or Save as…

Printing the document… Print, and then make sure that you include comments in the printout.

If you've checked the option to copy the highlighted text to the highlights under Preferences, then you can use the Summarize Comments command to create a printable copy of the comments. If you hadn't done that, then you can do it now, but then you'll have to re-apply the highlights.
If you created many highlights and don't feel like doing it all over again, you can use this script (created by me):
