color fill questions

in acrobat pro x, is there a way to color-fill free-form shapes? I know how to color-fill using most of the Drawing Markups available, but it doesnt let me color-fill shapes that I create with the "draw free form" or "draw connected lines" markups.

alternativly, does it have a tool similar to the "spray paint" ability in MS Paint?

thanks

The free form and connected lines are not shapes that contain an "inside" (even though you can arange them so that they form a closed shape). That's the reason why you cannot fill them. You could use the polygon instead of the connected lines annotation - you can fill that. There is no alternative for the free form annotation. Also, there is no "spray paint" available.

Hi there

Alternatively, You can make your desired image using all the shapes in MS Paint, fill colors in it, do spray paints etc etc and then convert your ms paint file into a pdf by File > Print > Printer should be : Adobe PDF > Save.

This will convert your paint file to pdf. Now you can continue editing your pdf to add some extra content in it.

Hope this helps

This is still confusing in Acrobat Pro DC
The connected lines tool does in fact have a 'fill colour' in its properties, suggesting that is has either been broken or not properly developed?

It would be nice to be able to create a not rectangular outline and have it filled in Acrobat. Combining rectangles is a pain, and overlaps are ugly if transparency is involved...
