before you can perform print-related tasks such as page setup or rpinting a doc, you need to install a printer

My computer and prineter will print anything EXCEPT a pdf doc. This is the message I keep getting: "before you can perform print-related tasks such as page setup or rpinting a doc, you need to install a printer" Please advise.

In my experience, most printing problems with Acrobat and Reader are fixed by the newest available driver (which should to be newer than the release date of Acobat), so upgrade your printer driver and see if that fixes your problem.

I recently ran into this problem with the latest version of Acrobat; nothing had changed as far as I could tell, and my printer drivers were just fine.

Solution: change your default printer (or set one if you don't have one), and then, if you like, change it back again. Just the act of modifying the default printer setting seems to have reset something that allowed Acrobat to start printing again.
