Thank you for your interest. I think the problem was Norton antivirus. It doesn't work properly with Windows 8. I tried to uninstall and then reinstall Norton. The process was really hard. I had to restore Windows to an earlier restore point. Anywhay, after fixing the Norton problem, then everything went OK. The Adobe reader installation run smoothly.

Do you recieve any specific errors when it crashes? A suggestion I have is to open up the Event Viewer and locate the Adobe Reader Log and see what it says. Another thing have you tried running a repair or reinstalling it?

Thank you for your response. I uninstalled it with the help of the removal tool, because I couldn't uninstall it from the Control Panel. Now I cannot install it. The installation process doesn't start. Ioannis Gkoulimaris
