When trying to print PDF files, my printer tries to print both sides of the paper when there is only one s one sid

When I try to print in Adobe, my printer tries to print both sides of the paper when there is only one side with writing. This only happens in Adobe and not any other programs. It prints a blank page which is the back side and then freezes up. This just started happening. I had no problem printing before

The printer driver controls the duplex printing options, not Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. So, I would make sure that this is turned off. Here is a technical note that explains how to do this:
