When you combine files, you have two options: Create a single PDF file (which is very likely what you want), and to create a Portfolio, which is a container document that can contain many other documents - either as PDF or in their original format. When you combine documents, regardless of the format, Adobe names the file with the term Binder in the filename. Just save the file and Acrobat will prompt you for a new filename.
