Viewing bookmarks using IE browser

I have created .pdf files with bookmarks. When the file opens in IE, the bookmarks do not appear. I have to download the file, then open it, for the bookmarks to show. Is there any settings in the file I can set so that the bookmarks appear in the browser?

You need to save your PDF file with an "Initial View" setting so that it opens the bookmark pane automatically. To do that, open your PDF file, then bring up the Document Properties dialog (Ctrl-D or Cmd-D), then go to the "Initial View" tab. Here you can now set the "Navigation tab" to "Bookmarks panel and document". When you now save your document and upload it, it should open correctly.

I have many reports in PDF that use the initial view to show the page and bookmarks for many years with no problems. I set the file up and then upload the file to the web site.

unfortunately that isn't it. I already have that set-up. I did some searching on the internet, and it seems if your IE or browser settings are Enable for Adobe, it won't let you view the .pdf file with bookmarks. But if you Disable the setting it does.
