Try to convert Excel file to PDF and get the message Missing PDFMaker files. I run installer repaid no help.

Converting .xls files to PDF get Misssing PDFMaker files. Ask to run installer in repair mode and do so but still have the problem. What next? Acrobat X Standard.

You don't mention what OS you're running so I'll post links to the technical notes that can help you with this for different versions of the Windows OS:
PDFMaker unavailable in 64-bit Office 2010 | Acrobat X
PDFMaker unavailable | Office 2007, 2010 | Acrobat 9, Acrobat X
