How are you converting PDF to Excel, with Adobe Acrobat or through ExportPDF/PDF Pack online service?

If using Adobe Acrobat, which version do you have? "The newer the Acrobat version is, the better your results are".

Keep in mind that converting PDF to other formats is very tricky and it only works well if the source PDF file is well formed. If you have a scanned PDF, for example, you probably won't get a good result. On the other hand, if the PDF was created from Excel through Acrobat PDFMaker and was tagged (which is the default process) you probably will get a very good result.

Converting PDF to any other format is a very complex process, and only works reasonably well if you have a PDF file that does allow this to happen.
Most PDF files are "bad" - that does not mean that they don't look good when viewed or printed, it's what's missing behind the scenes that causes the conversion to Excel or Word to not give you the results you expect.
The key is that a PDF file needs to be "tagged".

You will get the best results if the PDF file was generated using the PDFMaker macro directly from Excel.
If that's not the case, all bets are off.
