Regarding submit form button and response files.
Hi David,
I have a few remaining questions on fillable forms.
1. I want to be sure all our forms are fillable on iPads, etc. Is there something I need to do to ensure this can be done?
2. Is there a way to not display the bar across the top of the form (Please fill out the following form.... plus the Highlight Existing Fields and Submit form buttons)? Information I looked up indicates “Acrobat DC automatically checks the form. If it doesn’t find a submit button, it adds a Submit Form button to the document message bar. … If you don’t plan to use the Submit Form button created by Acrobat DC, you can add a custom submit button to your form.” It goes on to give directions on how to do that. (https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using...) Step #5 is specific as to what to enter. My question is that since I am using a javascript command to pick up the Vessel Name address as the CC and the document name as the subject, will this still act correctly to eliminate the automatically placed line?
3. Is there a step involved to get the submitted form to automatically add to the response file? Using the Submit Form button in the preset top bar has always caused the submitted forms to open the correct response file. Currently the file I am working on does not do this. I really do need to collect the responses in a central file.
