Problems converting word document to pdf

Is Word properly installed?

Is Acrobat (Pro or Standard) properly installed?

yes it worked for several months and then all of a sudden it started giving me the error message, then tells me I must have administrator priveleges *sic to install necessary files. I am the owner and sole user of this pc so I can't make any sense of why this is happening. (it's 9 standard)

OK, next step would be repairing the installation (Menu Help --> Repair Acrobat Installation).

You may try doing this when logged in as Administrator (or with administrator privileges).

If that fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat.

If Max's suggestion doesn't work, please specify the Office verison and Acrobat version (help>about Adobe Acrobat)

Office 2007 and acrobat 9 on windows 7 64 bit.

I have acrobat X (10.0) with cs55 master suite and am running on Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) and am having the same probelm. I talked to support and they told me to UNINSTALL the ENTIRE CS5.5 suite. Remove references to Adobe Acrobat form the "program files (x86)" and then reinstall Acrobat 10.o and then CS55.

That DID NOT WORK.

I can create a PDF out of MS Word 2010 but when I try to COMBINE files into PDF in Adove I get the error.

Does anyone have a clue as to what I have to do to get this taken care of?

Then again

Start Menu > Run

regsvr32 /s "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\PDFMaker\Common\AdobePDFMakerX.dll"

<ENTER>

The above codes, will re-register the adobe dll files needed to convert ms office files.

They will not cause any damage by re-registering again....so give it a go.
