I try to select a network printer in the print dialog and it reverts immidiately to one note.

Problem started when I just upgraded to Acrobat DC reader. Other apps. print OK on my default network printer

Acrobat/Reader is very sensitive to having the correct print drivers. Check the printer vendor's sit to see if there are any new drivers for the printer or a driver for PS or PDFs.
