How do I reduce menu bar font size

I am using Acrobat Pro on a Sony Vaio laptop with touch screen and Win 8.1. 1920 x 1080 HDMI display.

But I use the computer at a desk the majority of the time with a large monitor - I am getting too old to work with the smaller laptop's screen (even though it is a gorgeous display) when I am not on the road.

So I am typically using my trackball at my desk, not the laptop's touch feature. But the tool bar fonts are huge on the screen and waste a lot of space - the fonts are probably three times bigger than the menu bar. I can see the toolbars being larger when in the touch mode, but can't I toggle between large tool bar fonts and small tool bar fonts?

When the panels are open on the right they also use fonts that are much too large.

In the end, with two toolbars and the panel in view, nearly 50% of the screen are is consumed by these features, leaving only fifty percent for the document! Very annoying.

Go to menu Edit -> Preferences, choose General category and try to change "Scale for screen resolution (restart required)" to 100%:

Open up Acrobat's Preferences, then go to the "General" tab and modify the "Scale for screen resolution" setting. After a restart of Acrobat, you should see a more appropriate size of the UI elements.
