How do I edit text after saving as a reader extended PDF form with 'additional features' enabled?

I created a PDF form in Acrobat X Pro from a Word document. I went about editing text and form fields as needed, saving along the way. Before finishing, I saved as Reader Extended PDF, with 'additional features' enabled, so my recipients can save the filled out form to their computers. I now see an error I need to adjust, but it won't let me edit text anymore. If I can't figure out how to edit, I will have to start from scratch with my original Word document, which I'd rather not do. Is there some way to edit text I'm not seeing? Is saving it this way preventing it? Why?

Hi, all you need to is the save the file as a copy 'file - save as copy'. Close the OPEN doc, then reopen the COPY version. You will then be able to edit the PDF, you will then just have to save the file with reader rights again after you have finished editing.

Hope this helps?

Hi,

You should always save/keep a copy before Reader-enabling a file.
