How do I disable viewing PDFs in Safari?

On Mac OS X, how do I disable viewing PDFs in Safari? i.e., I want PDFs to automatically open in Acrobat or automatically download instead of opening in the browser.

In Acrobat preferences, Internet > Display PDF in browser in checked and grayed out, so I can't uncheck it.

I can disable PDF viewing in Chrome, but can't seem to do this in Safari.

There is a Knowledgebase article which should take care of the issue: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/870/cpsid_87...

Essentially take out the AdobePDFViewer.plugin from the folder /LIbrary/Internet Plug-ins, and that should do it.

Hope this can help.
