Failed update to acrobat xi 11.0.12 to 11.0.13 error 1603.

Windows 10 computer. Looked up error code and tried with Microsoft Office and browsers closed. Got half way done and rolled back. Don't want to uninstall and reinstall incase reinstall fails and I have no Acrobat at all.

Any ideas?

Please follow the steps mentioned in the help doc: Error 1603: A fatal error occurred during installation ?

Just in case, you are still struck with the issue, please share msi logs for analysis. Please follow the steps below for creating msi logs

1) Enable msi logging as per https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/223300

2) Please clean %temp% and run the install again.

3) Share msi<xxxx>.log from %temp%.

Thanks to both of you for your time and effort. I ultimately decided to go with the annual subscription to Acrobat DC which installed and runs without problems. It's kind of expensive for my less frequent use, but when I need it, I need it to work properly.
