Change Comment Text Box Advanced Preferences

I know how to use these tools, but, for some reason, the margins have greatly expanded for the text box, once done. When I create a text box comment, and size it to where I want it to fit, but then click somewhere else on screen, margin around text DOUBLES, expanding the box until it no longer fits where I want it to.

This is a recent problem, but impacts both my machine and at least one of my writers. We're using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC licenses, but behind a secure firewall; don't believe we have any "cloud" interface.
