I have a PDF doc that I am trying to edit. I need the description (Metadata) to match everything else on my e-reader. I can open and view the properties and there is a cursor flashing, but nothing happens when i type. I've checked the security and there is none. I was able to use a program to delete some pages and such but not update the info. If I use it in it;s current state it will be placed in an awkward place in my library. I had a screen shot ready to show, but I can't figure out how to get it on here.

Adobe Reader cannot modify (or perform an initial entry) metadata. You need Acrobat for that..Be well...
For the screen shot, use the "picture" button in the upper left corner of the edit window, when you write your response. There are several things that will block editing various PDF features. For example Reader Enabling can cause selective blocking of editing. Also, Adobe Reader will not allow editing of many different features regardless of Enabling.
