Automatically adding blank pages?

Is it possible to automatically add a blank page after each bookmarked section? If so, can this be tweaked so that only sections which finish on an odd numbered page are given an extra blank page. Or is there another way to print bookmarked sections 'separately' without having to print each section as a separate action? (ie. in one or two clicks for a whole document)

Many thanks,
Pam

There is no simple solution to this problem. Some printers allow you to add blank pages by defining "chapter pages" - but this requires the printer to support that.

You can however print a "section" based on the bookmarks in the document by right-clicking on the bookmark and then selecting to "Print section":

Print section

This is unfortunately not one or two clicks per document, it's two clicks per section.

There are some JavaScript solutions that are possible for some documents, but to create a solution that works for all documents, you would need a custom Acrobat plug-in.

Yes, it's possible to add a blank page after each bookmark section (or "chapter") using a script. It's also possible to extract each section as its own file and then print them separately. You can use this script I've developed to achieve the latter: Acrobat -- Extract Chapters by Bookmarks

.
