Access denied normally points at issues with file permissions, which would be outside of the scope of Acrobat and rReader. Is the docuent you try to open on the local drive, or on a network drive? Or is it retrieved via a weblink?
Is Reader installed with an administrator account or an user account?
Which operating system (version ?)
… Just a few questions which may help to determine the cause of the problem.
