Adding a scanned signature image to a form in acrobat reader 1o.1.2

Hello, hope someone can help me:

I have a fillable form (created on Acrobat Pro x) that I use for confirming orders from clients. I'd like for my clients to be able to insert or copy and paste a saved image of their signatures to it. I understand that this is possible, based on this article I've read :

http://techdows.com/2012/01/adobe-rea...

I've tried to test this out on my own first to see if it works and I can't seem to place a signature since I keep getting a notification that:

"The security settings on this document prevent adding text and/or placing a signature on it from Adobe Reader. To fill and sign this document you need to print it out.."

whenever I click on the SIGN tab on the upper right corner (am using READER 10.1.2). I have extended reader rights in acrobat and have checked security settings that the file says it allows signing, yet It still won't allow me to do it.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Just checking but when you say it has reader rights, have you chose Save as - Reader Extended PDF - ENABLE ADDITIONAL FEATURES. The others wont work, or let you fill a form in, and that is exactly the same warning as you described.
