Add a clipping mask instead of cropping

I think this is a pretty straight forward question which I am not able to figure out.

When I print a file from a 3rd party app to a pdf, some of the images are cropped out completely on the right due to the size dimensions. For ex. if I choose A4 size and print, most of the images don't fit the width of the page and are cut off.

I am looking for a setting in Acrobat pro DC which will add a clipping mask for over sized images in the printed pdf instead of cropping the extra portions. Can this be achieved using DC?

Thanks a lot for the support.

No. What you see is actually a combination of what the application does, and how Distiller then converts the PostScript created by the application to PDF. Chances are that different applications are handling this case differently, and what you see in your PDF is mostly determined by how the application prints it's individual objects.
