Acrobat XI Standart won't start

After many tribulations and 3 days of technical difficulties, I successfully downloaded the Acrobat XI standard that was ordered by phone (couldn’t get it from the web!). After entering the key that I received by email, I was confident that my struggle was over. NO. The system did installed add-ons but it will not open no matter what I try. Did uninstalled and reinstalled two times with no success.

I spent 40 minutes chatting with “Vijayakumar” and transferred 3 files (PDApp, amt3 and OOBElib) to their technical support team but I still cannot use the software. Ultimately, I downloaded Acrobat reader so I can at least see PDF files; reader does work!

I am trying to make this running on:
Operating System Name Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro
Operating System Version 6.3.9600 Build 9600
System Model HP EliteBook Revolve 810 G2

BIOS Version Hewlett-PackardL86 Ver. 01.00

I just don’t believe that Adobe got my money and won’t support this issue. If you have any idea I will appreciate.

I would uninstall Acrobat and Reader, run the Cleaner tool (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html) and install from a fresh download again (you can download from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html).

Unfortunately, sometimes these types of problems need to be resolved by customer support: http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

Thanks Karl,

Just did what you recommanded but Acrobat Standart just refuses to start.

Very desapointing. I guess my only other alternative is to go for the customer support center; I must admit that I am raelly not impressed by them so far.
