Acrobat File I/O Error

When I try to save my document in Adobe 8.31 Professional, I get an error msg. "the document could not be saved-a file I/o error has occurred." This is the first time this has happened and I attempted to reinstall and repair Acrobat installation w/no luck. I even checked updates and it says my product is up to date.

Let us know if this addresses the issue:

  1. In Acrobat or Adobe Reader, choose to Edit > Preferences.
  2. Go to the Page Display panel.
  3. Uncheck Use 2D GPU acceleration.
  4. Click OK.

I have been using Adobe Pro for about 3 weeks converting OCR image files to PDF's. Suddenly it's not working, and I'm getitng the message above. I tried editing preferences as suggested, and unchecking Use 2DGPU Accelerator and OK. Not working. Can you help?

If this is occurring on Windows, try making sure that you don't Windows Preview turned on.
