Acrobat 9.4 How can I insert a pdf file into a MS-Word doc? How do I rotate the view from Portrait to landscape?

Acrobat 9.4 (Adobe Exchange??) How can I insert a pdf file into a MS-Word doc? How do I rotate the view from Portrait to landscape (in the inserted file? When I use the MS-Word insert object facility, I get an error saying Adobe Exchange is not installed. Looked for Adobe Exchange on the Adobe website, and all I found was something about a Forms Author Plug-in. Tried to dl and install it, and got an error saying it couldn't find Adobe Exchange. Circular problem here!

Hi,

You should start here : Rearranging pages in a PDF

Just to confirm - you are using Acrobat 9.x yes?
Next, presuming you are using Acrobat 9.4 you *do* need to process each of the incremental updates to put yourself in 9.5.3.
.
As well what Office version and OS are you using? Acrobat versions are compatible with specific Office versions / specific OSs.
If not aligned Acrobat will not provide full functionality.
See:

.
With the Word file open click "Insert" from the ribbon. Locate "Object".
In the Object dialog, under the Create New tab select "Adobe Acrobat Document" then click "OK".
Browse to and select the desired PDF file.
.
OR
.
Under the Create from File tab of the Object dialog browse to the the desired PDF.
Configure the Create from File tab's dialog as desired.
.
Note that insert of an object that is a file of a format other than Word does not make it possible to do any edits to the inserted object using Word.

Ok, to do this you will have to have and use Acrobat (Standard or Pro).
When you open the inserted object (the PDF) you want it to open in Acrobat (which lets you select and rotate pages).

As mentioned earlier process each of the sequential updates until you are at 9.5.3.
Once there, shutdown then restart. Now try to open the inserted PDF object.
Alternatively if you are using an OS release and / or an Office version for which Acrobat is not compatible you will have to obtain/install/use the appropriate Acrobat version.
.
Be well...
