on Acrobat Xl, when I go to choose a different color or choose it to be a default, it does not accept the command when I go to use the same stamp again.Thank you

Hi,
A stamp is an image, so to change its color you need to create your own. The color that you trying to set is the color for the note window which is displayed after double-clicking on a stamp using the Hand tool.
