remove cropmarks

Acrobat X Pro on Intel iMac using Snow Leopard. I do a lot of work for a book publisher. He has a series of books that were published a decade ago -- and he only has the print-ready PDFs. He's asked me to resize the pages for a PoD printer. The PoD printer requires the removal of all printers' marks.

Apparently Pitstop Pro will do all this but this is a one-off job and anyway I can't afford it. Can I do this in Acrobat? I think I understand I can resize the pages with the Crop tool, but I can't remove the cropmarks. I've tried the Redaction tool but if I outline the cropmarks and hit Apply, all the text and images on all the pages disappear!!

I'd be very grateful for any guidance that can be offered -- and thank you for taking the time to read this.

The Crop Pages tool doesn't resize the the pages, it just changes the definition of the various boxes, so it should be suitable for your task.

If you really want to remove everything outside one of the boxes you can use a script, like this one: Acrobat -- Remove Everything Outside the Trim/Crop/Bleed/Art Box

.
