Why is adobe reader freezing up and then saying it is not responding shortly after I open a file in it?I cannot scroll through the document or do anything else

only message was the statement at the very top of screen saying that Adobe reader was not responding after only about 20 secs of opening a document. Have tried your suggestion and was then able to go from page to page on a document so will try again later and see if it is still working, thanks

I had the same problem with a colleague at work. Turned out Reader wasn't up to date, I updated it to the latest version and it solved it. Is yours up to date?
