Even though the error message sounds very specific, it's a generic message that gets displayed in a lot of different cases. Here is what I would do to see if one of these steps fixes your problems:
- if you cannot print from other applications to this printer, then make sure that the printer is on and reachable (could for example be a network problem that is preventing you from printing)
- use the repair function in Acrobat or Reader (you can find this under the Help menu)
- go into Control Panel and select a different printer as the default printer, then try to print again to the same printer. If this works, set the default back to what it used to be.
