Printing as negative - white letters, black background??

other docs from other programs - ok. PDF will print as negative SOMETIMES. Even from same file, will print some pages ok, some black background, white letters. (a real toner killer).

You may want to check your printer settings on that one, but to make sure when you go to print check the preview of your document on the right side and see what it looks like. Other than that, their shouldn't be anything to turn your file into a negative like that.

Hi all - got this from another site. Have tried this on a wayward device and this appears to resolve a wierd temporary condition where print outs of PDF's (not word docs or other files ??) appear 'reversed greyscale or 'negative'.

If you try setting the defaut dpi of the HP Laserjet Pro 1536dnf All-in-one printer from 600dpi to FastRes 1200 (EconoMode either off or on) and try again this should resolve. My issue was very intermttent and didn't but so far 2 days testing shows no problem since the change on a Win Vista pro SP2 x86 and a Win 7 Pro SP1 x64 and using Adobe Reader 9.x or 10.1.4

Also ensure you use the discrete HP Basic Print and Scan or Full Feature set drivers instead of the HP Universal Driver as the latter doesnt support all the features of the device. This is also true for its sister product the HP LJ Pro 1606dn/dnw printer.

YMMV
