PDF Display

For some reason the font looks odd when I open up a pdf - it is not the same font as the original document.

Is there some setting that controls the appearance of type/fonts? Shouldn't it look exactly like the original document?

I can open the same document on another pc or laptop and it looks just like it should.

Have a look under Edit - Preferences - Page Display. See what settings are selecting under Smooth Text, Use Local Fonts, etc., and try to play around with them.
