Is there a better way to combine XML files and PDF files into a Single PDF?

I frequently receive a group of PDF files which include XML files. I then need to combine these files into a single PDF. Acrobat will not combine the XML files, so I get an error. I then have to go open the XML files and print them to the Adobe Printer so that I can combine them with the other PDF files. I do not want to use the PDF Portfolio option. It's even more of a hassle because I don't always know which files (if any) are XML before trying to combine them.

I'm wondering if anyone has a better way than what I'm currently doing to combine these XML files in with other PDFs.

Really no elegant way to get from XFA wrapped in a PDF to 'flat' PDF. Two different models.

So, what you doing is, overall, going to be as effective as anything else.

HI,
.
PDFs that "contain XML" are XFA (a flavor of XML) forms made with LifeCycle Designer.

Acrobat cannot combine these into a PDF.

Use Tools > Pages > Extract Pages to extract the pages from the XML version (you can extract all of the pages if you desire). Save the new file. You should be able to work with this new file as though it were a standard PDF and combine it with other PDFs.
