I am using MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion. I scanned a 63pg document and saved in pdf. Google says it is too large to send by email. Is there a way to cut the pdf in half and send in two sections, or do I have to re-scan in 31- and 32-pg sections?

Have you tried to OCR the scanned image to a text and image document?With the full version of Acrobat, you can split a PDF into parts by extracting a range of pages into another file.
You can use your Google Drive to upload files and then share them with others. I think you get up to 5GB for free, which should be more than enough.
