I completed a pdf form on windows reader however once i opened it through adobe reader it has been deleted. How do i get back the text from the pdf document? When i open the document it now opens up, uncompleted (the text i typed is missing) in both windows reader and adobe reader.

Please provide details for clarification.

.

What is the Windows OS you are using?
What is "windows reader"?
Where is the PDF form located (your local machine, the web, a network, ...)?
What version of Adobe Reader are you using?

Not on my win8 box just now but a suggestion. Download a 'fresh' copy of the PDF form.

Once you have it on your computer open Adobe Reader. Open the PDF with Adobe Reader and process the form. Should be using Adobe Reader XI. If not then dump the old version and install Reader XI.

Because PDF is an ISO standard anyone can "play". Some players do about as well as Adobe's Acrobat / Adobe Reader. Some do not. JMO but I think MS is perhaps more diligent than some software houses as MS (like Adobe) is very involved with the PDF related ISO standards. With that said the "windows reader" is best used to view only. Avoid processing PDF forms with it. Use Adobe Reader XI or Acrobat for that. I expect the MS products to improve but what's currently available is not on par with Adobe's prodducts.
