How do I edit a text box once I have moved the cursor?

I am filling out a PDF document and I need to change some of the text on a previous line. How do I do this? If I try to place the cursor where I would edit a line, it just types over the previous text. Need to know ASAP!

It sounds like you're using the Typewriter tool to fill out your form (probably because there are no existing form fields). If so, the Typewriter will create comments on your document. To locate them, just open the Comments pane and click on the Comments List panel

If it is a form field, just go back to the field and type over the text.

For an annotation, use the Hand Tool and double click on the annotation to bring up the edit mode and then change the data.
