How do I change a date on a book sale poster?

A recognised book sale poster is used twice a year for which I change the date.
I have been using Pages but no longer have this on my computer
Mistakenly I filed it as a pdf and now cannot alter the date. How can I revert it to
another easily changed format?

If you have the according fonts on your machine, you can change the date using Acrobat (Pro).

If you don't have the font on your machine, and it is acceptable from the appearance, you might also place a form field on top of that date, select the suitable font, make the background white (or the color it has to match), enter the date and use that. You might consider flattening the page, so that there are no more fields (but do not save this document unless you have made a backup copy of your original file ).

Hope this can help.

You selected "Adobe Reader" as your question category. Adobe Reader does not provide the tools to do any of what Max suggests.
If you use Adobe Reader XI you could use the available Comment/Markup tools to place a text box to "overlay" the date.

Be well...
