I am able to insert a hyperlink in a pdf document with Adobe Acrobat Pro that works. However, when I open the same document in Adobe Reader, the link will not work. I changed the security setting within Edit/Preferences/Trust Manager to Allow PDF files to access all we sites, but that did not solve the issue.

The behavior of a hyperlink depends on the cursor tool you useWhen you use the hand tool, hyperlinks are directly clickable.The the text selection tool you have to hold down the Ctrl button to activate the hyperlink..
