Answers / Installation & Updates
I am considering upgrading the operating system on my laptop from windows 7 to windows 8. The compatibility tool tells me that the adobe acrobat 9 standard that is presently on the laptop in windows 7 won't work on windows 8, but that an update is available. Do you have an update available for adobe acrobat standard 9 that will enable the program to work with the new windows 8 operating system?

Hi John,Have a look at this post for your answer.
What is the answer for this question, if not compatible name the update.
The post available via the referenced link described the situation for the Acrobat 9.x product family vis-à-vis Windows 7 / Windows 8. The is no 'update' - but then, regarding 'updates' to specific versions one does each sequentially - there is no cherry picking.
All moot point anyway - End of June 2013 saw the end of support for the Acrobat 9.x product family.
