Cannot print documents from Acrobat

HELP - I can no longer print a pdf document. I'm running Acrobat Pro X, it worked fine for about a year, then suddenly I wasn't able to print out any documents from the program. I click 'print' from the File menu and the print dialog opens as usual, but once I select 'PRINT' from that window and the window closes, nothing happens. I've had to send it to co-workers over the network to ask them to print it for me. The file doesn't appear in the cue for my printer. Nothing - it disappears. Is this a driver problem, and if so, how do I fix it? (BTW - The inkjet printer is hooked up to my computer only, and I have no trouble printing from every other program installed on my computer. ONLY ACROBAT.) I've searched the internet for a solution, but could only find answers addressing problems with 'Print as PDF', not ACTUAL printing. Please help!

In my experience, most printing problems with Acrobat and Reader are fixed by the newest available driver (which should to be newer than the release date of Acobat), so upgrade your printer driver and see if that fixes your problem. Things may have stopped working after an upgrade to e.g. Acrobat, so try to get the latest version of your printer driver.
